I. Seduction
Allure of the unknown.
Ending another day's voyage,
starved and without,
he returns in the hour of the witching.
To continue the desires of those devout.
But no effulgent gates so await as promised.
To take refuge, opposed the shore,
entranced by shelter, a cave rose before.
Encrypted in an ancient language,
the walls lay plagued with mass engravings,
lit with gold and silver from the opposite way which
the mouth of the tunnel had swiftly persuaded.​

II. Deprivation and Elysium
Armed with the blades of obsidian,
he looks back to the night of oblivion.
In spite of such a condemning curse,
the worst, he has yet to see befallen.
The mind is his absolute deity.
Sensory deprivation yields no pleas for freedom
--Just opportunity.
And just as if the walls were listening,
the hieroglyphs alter hue.​
<His breath is taken and replaced with a viscous residue.
The silence is broken. The sun shines with a calming effect.
With dearest as company, they meet eyes and so contrived,
euphoria subtly sets in.>​

III. Mirage and Confusion
The antipodal event, that which breaks somnambulism.
She reveals a doubly split grin,
an array of teeth that dull the razor of Occam.
And so he wakes, as it slithers away,
further into an icy grave.
The sound of static pervades,
plurality is no longer a question.
And so entangled, an interest erected.
Allure. Of-The. Unknown.​

IV. Lair of the Primordial
Sifting through the catacombs
provokes a stench of rotten bones.
Moving slowly across the flesh covered floor.
Death, is nothing of the sort.
The ground gives way, the dust it sprays,
in but an instant, freely falling.
Consumed by gravel, now birthed in scorn,
the heat arises a spell reborn.

An exit flickers in the distance,
but a gauntlet of lava restricts his position.
Spores recoagulate, filling his lungs to capacity.
In this lair of pestilence, yet again attempting to take over.​

V. Silence and Insanity
He's torn between two fields, the feeling's so unreal.
Subconscious forces, so remarkable.
Trying to keep nodes sealed, distant memories repealed,
exiling liquid only to ignite.
In the furnace built of fright,
beneath the surface, racing toward the light.
Denied upon arrival,
the markings on his chest signify: no survival.
In unison, vast illumination.
Knowing his time is slim, he tries to leave a message in stone:
